RCS, the leader in digital broadcast technology, has an immediate full time opening for a Software Developer with 2+ years of experience writing web applications using Microsoft technologies and industry-standard web development techniques. This position is located in our Ogallala, NE or White Plains, NY office.
Qualifications:
A qualified applicant should have the following training, education, and/or equivalent experience:
* 2+ years work experience programming with Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET framework and client-side web technologies
* Excellent knowledge of rich internet application development
* Understanding of cross-browser development and debugging
* ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
* Object-oriented programming and design patterns
* Up-to-date with the latest web development standards (HTML 5, CSS3, RESTful interfaces)
* Experience with ASP.NET MVC, jQuery and test-driven development (NUnit or other similar frameworks)
* Flash/ActionsScript is plus
* Database programming and design using MS-SQL 2008 is a plus
* Strong communication skills
* Eligibility to work in the US
Duties & Responsibilities
* Design, develop, debug, modify and implement web applications
* Perform code reviews and unit testing
* Create test instructions for the QA department to confirm that applications meet specifications
* Write and maintain functional and technical specifications using MS Word
* Research and evaluate software and hardware to assist in programming and to use as program platforms
* Provide technical assistance to the Technical Support department
* Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Summary: This position is located in Ogallala Nebraska. Provides technical assistance and training and provides advanced troubleshooting and resolutions to customers. Applicant will foster an advanced technical work environment by performing the following duties. All applicants should have experience with Windows Operating systems, remote software such as VNC or MSTSC. A radio background is helpful but not mandatory. Automation software training will be provided.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following and other duties may be assigned. All duties are performed with little or no direction.
The Support Engineer assists customers, fellow techs, and service personnel in the installation of software, hardware, and 3rd party peripheral components. These include but are not limited to files servers, commercial grade workstations, networking switches, NICs, monitors, KVMs, and radio equipment located at the user's premises.
